It all kicks off on Friday. The imagine festival 2013 is about to kick off. This year’s motto, “Racism makes you short-sighted”, once again gives hope for exciting installations and stands. One of these stands will be from terre des hommes schweiz and will present the topic of migration.
Apart from the stage, there’s not much to see yet. If you haven’t already experienced it for yourself, it’s hard to believe that the still tranquil Barfüsserplatz will be transformed into an epicenter of youth culture in northwestern Switzerland over the next two days.
Good prospects
Despite a few potholes on the way to this major event (two cancellations of bands that were successfully replaced), the young people of imagine have once again (almost) managed to organize the only annual anti-racism festival in Switzerland. And if the weather gods also deliver convertible weather, then the big festival is bound to be a success.
More than just a festival
Reducing this festival to just music and partying would not do justice to the achievements of the many young people. As they themselves write on their website: imagine is awareness-raising, imagine is youth participation and imagine is also culture. And it is precisely this mixture that terre des hommes schweiz is looking forward to.
terre des hommes schweiz on site again
This year, terre des hommes schweiz itself will once again be represented with a stand at imagine and will present its work on the topic of migration. As a small attraction, visitors to the terre des hommes schweiz stand will have the opportunity to see themselves from a different perspective. In keeping with one of the festival’s slogans: “It’s all a question of perspective”
We would be delighted to see you at our stand.
