Videos, streams and blogs are also playing an increasingly important role in development policy information work. To facilitate access to such web resources, Alliance Sud has developed a multimedia portal with many videos and links to other web resources.

The online portal designed by the Alliance Sud documentation centers in Bern and Lausanne contains over 100 videos for each language. They are constantly being added to and are clearly grouped according to ten topics. These range from energy and agriculture to culture and migration, raw materials and the economy. The videos, which average between five and ten minutes in length, cover different information requirements and are mostly in German or French.
In addition, the portal offers many references to other multimedia web resources such as podcasts and video/audio streams, infographics and cartoons, photos and blogs. This service was developed in cooperation with the Information Management Section of the SDC Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
