At terre des hommes schweiz, our team of around 60 employees is committed to helping young people in Africa, Latin America and Switzerland. Together with our partner organisations, we work towards our vision of a just world. In 1960, the Swiss journalist Edmond Kaiser founded the aid organisation Terre des hommes schweiz. In 1972, a reorganisation led to the creation of three independent Terre des Hommes organisations in Switzerland. They legally, financially and organisationally independent of each other.
We have a vision of a fair, sustainable and inclusive world. A world that is shaped by the most diverse, creative and talented young people. A world in which young people find their own strength and voice.

Our work is based on the human and children’s rights declared by the United Nations and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda. These guiding principles shape our actions and our commitment to young people worldwide.
