Towards the end of the year people like to look back. Especially with our partner organisation ACOOC it is worthwhile to look back on what we have achieved. ACOOC, a contact point for young conscientious objectors in Colombia, has become a strong lobby organisation in recent years.

At this year's conference, speakers from Brazil and Germany will discuss questions about (post)growth in Brazil and Europe. What perspectives and ideas do Brazil's young people have?
The World Cup celebrations are over, the lights are off and the country is again facing the same problems as before the World Cup. Now, in the Brazilian election campaign, the population is back with a huge vote. In a broad-based referendum, almost 7.5 million people voted for fundamental political reforms. Our partner organisation Sabia was also present.
They are just as interested in music and sport as Swiss young people. And yet the unaccompanied underage asylum seekers from the MNA Centre Lilienberg live in the shadows of the public. On Saturday, 23 August, a summer party gave the local population the opportunity to get to know the young people. And they also took advantage of this opportunity.

On Saturday 23 August 2014, more than 70 unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people from the Lilienberg Centre in Affoltern am Albis invite all those interested to their self-organised summer party. The party is intended to provide an opportunity to get to know the young people in a relaxed atmosphere. After last year's open day, this is the second event of this project with underage migrants in Affoltern.
We have launched a crowdfunding project for small cinemas in Peru: We would like to raise at least 2500 francs. This money will enable young people to build micro-cinemas in their communities. This enables them to offer affordable entertainment in poor districts and villages, while at the same time promoting social exchange between people and thus strengthening their identity.
While the Colombian national team continues its unwavering storming during the World Cup, a bloody fan war is raging in the football arenas in Colombia. Often a wrong look is enough to turn a triviality into deadly seriousness. The project "Football Fans Against Violence" contributes to the suppression of the culture of violence from football. The message to the fans is: sport is not a fight.
Cannes, Berlin or Locarno: film festivals are a dime a dozen. The International Film Festival FiSahara in the Sahrawi refugee camp Dakhla, on the other hand, is something very special. During one week, films are shown in tents in the middle of the Algerian desert, entertaining and thought-provoking. Furthermore: this unique festival is only possible thanks to the support of the many Sahrawi young people of our partner organisation UJSARIO.
Violence and crime reign in many slums of Latin America. Young people grow up in communities that no longer have any cohesion or common commitment. In this context, the partner organisations of terre des hommes Switzerland work with young people in football courses: Here they discover that there is community and protection even beyond violent and criminal gangs.

15 South Africans began training in the solution-oriented approach (SFA) last October. Now they all completed the course with a certificate. The leaders of the course thus proved that the training has a solid foundation. They themselves had completed the very first SFA course from terre des hommes switzerland in southern Africa.
