jj/st. The widespread violence in Colombia has hit a partner organization of terre des hommes schweiz, Unidad de Organizaciones Afrocaucanas (UOAFROC), with full force. On the night of November 3 to 4 this year, young people from the UOAFROC youth group were shot in Guachené, in the department of Cauca, according to UOAFROC members. A 17-year-old girl, the sister of the group’s leader, died on the way to hospital with gunshot wounds to her back and leg. Her sister suffered gunshot wounds to the thigh and survived. Another boy, 15 years old, was fatally shot by a ricochet.
