terre des hommes schweiz and Medicus Mundi Switzerland will show the documentary #Female Pleasure and talk to the protagonist Vithika Yadav from India afterwards.
In her new documentary, Swiss director Barbara Miller uses the personal stories of five women from five different world religions to impressively show that women’s sexual pleasure is still a taboo in the 21st century. In the name of religion and cultural norms and values, they experience injustice and are prohibited from living a self-determined female sexuality. The women are breaking the taboo of silence and are fighting archaic patriarchal structures with all their might.
