Off to new horizons
With the education project in El Salvador, terre des hommes schweiz supports sustainable and innovative income projects for young people with education, psychological support and financial assistance.
With your donation, together we can create fair opportunities and prospects for young people. Thank you!
From a lack of prospects to hope
Thanks to start-up capital as part of the training project, the 21-year-old Wendy Vanessa Otero their open her own snack stand. Today she sells to your stand «Platanos fritos" (plantain chips) and Enchiladas (filled tortillas) and can thus finance her livelihood.
"The terre des hommes schweiz training course has changed my life - for the better. I earn my own money and have hope for my future. In my free time, I love to play football." The young woman radiates a great sense of satisfaction. It's hard to believe that she often used to just sit around at home.
Young people without prospects
Wendy Vanessa Otero is no exception in El Salvador. Persistent poverty and a lack of prospects characterize the lives of many people. The situation is particularly bad for young people: the lack of hope for a dignified life without jobs, university places and income is depressing. Many either join violent gangs, emigrate or work under exploitative conditions.
Education, psychological support and financial start-up assistance
Thanks to donors like you, many more young people in our project countries in Africa and Latin America receive a fair chance. Education, professional and psychological support and financial start-up aid are the key to a self-determined life. Thank you very much for your support in helping young people like Wendy Vanessa Otero to have a better life.
With a sponsorship of at least CHF 120.00 or an amount of your choice, you can support young people in the long term.
