Last week, "Leben statt Flucht" drew attention to young women who have the courage to lead a self-determined and independent life with a three-dimensional street painting on Bern's Waisenhausplatz. On Friday afternoon, October 25, 2014, everyone was able to become part of the scene depicted and have their picture taken.
This week, terre des hommes schweiz drew attention to courageous young women with a spectacular street painting in three-dimensional optics. (You can find more photos on our Facebook fan page) On Thursday 24 October and Friday 25 October we were at the Waisenhausplatz in Berne, where the painter Frederike Wouters painted a variation of our campaign motif in six metres width on the floor and walls. On Friday afternoon, passers-by can become part of the painting and shake hands with the young woman for a better future. This action is part of the campaign "Life instead of flight", which started in early September.
Become a part of "Life Not Flight"
In this street painting we show the path a young woman takes - from oppression to an independent life without violence. On her way she also meets people who support her and encourage her. The painting is optically based on the campaign motif of "life instead of flight".
