Health and safety come first: In view of the Corona pandemic, the crew of imagine has decided to cancel the imagine festival in June. In return, this autumn "a great prelude to the anniversary year" will take place, according to imagine. Next year, the project by young people for young people will have a special birthday. The anniversary edition of the imagine Festival is scheduled to take place in Basel on June 4 and 5, 2021. imagine is a project of terre des hommes switzerland.

"imagine has been setting an example of diversity and youth culture in the heart of the city of Basel since 2001. On June 5 and 6, the 19th imagine Festival should have taken place under the slogan "At eye level". Due to the current situation with the novel coronavirus, the project coordination of imagine decided to cancel this year's imagine Festival.

The health and safety of the visitors and all those involved in the imagine Festival is the top priority for project coordination. imagine looks back on successful months in which workshops and events reached numerous people with our thematic focus. Even in summer imagine will not disappear from the scene. The team will continue to work with the annual theme "Encounter", which is dealt with under the slogan "At eye level". The next months will be used by imagine to enable digital encounters on social media and thus continue to sensitize the public for diversity and against discrimination.
A big kick-off into the anniversary year is planned for autumn. The anniversary edition of the imagine Festival will take place on 4 and 5 June 2021".
