Youth participation – unlocking young people’s potential

Young people are the decision-makers of tomorrow. Their creativity and energy must be integrated into development processes in order to achieve sustainable change. We focus on youth participation in order to promote the potential of young people and give them the opportunity to actively shape their own future.

Psychosocial support – emerging from a crisis with resilience and strength

Poverty, violence and illness leave deep psychological scars on many young people. We use targeted psychosocial support to help them come to terms with their experiences and strengthen their resilience. This is particularly important for children and young people who have suffered trauma as a result of illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, violence or family conflicts.

Solution-focused work – helping people to find and develop their own strengths

We use the solution-focused approach (SFA) to help young people recognise and gradually build on their own strengths. This approach promotes independent problem-solving and sustainable development by focusing on solutions rather than problems.

Sustainability and impact through our way of working

Our approach has proven to be not only effective, but also sustainable. Through a combination of participation, solution-focused work and strong partnerships, we reach over 250,000 young people worldwide every year and promote the long-term improvement of their living conditions.
