The suffering of the people in Ukraine moves the whole world. Especially in difficult times, it is impressive to see how much solidarity the Swiss show. We also experience this great solidarity when it comes to our project work in Africa and Latin America. Thanks to your donations, we are also able to provide vital support to people in need.
What your contribution can achieve is shown by the example of 26-year-old Ana María Guardado from El Salvador. Despite completing her studies, she was unable to find a job and had no income. Her future prospects were bleak.
In our project, she experienced what it’s like when someone believes in you. Because empowerment strengthens, motivates and releases superpowers. Ana María Guardado now has her own clothes store and earns her own living.

Young people in El Salvador have a hard time: there are no jobs, no places to study and hardly any opportunities to earn a regular income. They can either join violent gangs, emigrate or work under exploitative conditions.
With our training project in the Chalatenango region, we offer young women and men a way out of poverty, violence and a lack of prospects. We support them in setting up income-generating initiatives with education, professional support and financial start-up assistance.
