Despite the difficult political and economic conditions and the persistently competitive environment in the NGO sector, 2018 ended with a positive result. terre des hommes schweiz 2018 closed with a positive result.
The management and Board of Directors of terre des hommes schweiz presented a positive annual financial statement for 2018 at the Annual General Meeting on 21 May. Despite the more difficult conditions for organizations working in development cooperation, we were able to increase our income slightly. Thanks to prudent planning and reduced expenses in administration and fundraising, more funds were available for our international project work. Thank you all for your support! On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, the “Terre des hommes – Children’s Aid Worldwide” foundation announced that it had to make several people redundant due to a large deficit. We very much regret this. terre des hommes schweiz is not affected by this annual result, as it is an independent organization.
In Switzerland, three independent organizations exist under the name “Terre des hommes schweiz”: Our organization, “terre des hommes schweiz” based in Basel, our sister organization “Terre des Hommes Suisse” based in Geneva and the foundation “Terre des hommes – Children’s Aid Worldwide” based in Lausanne.
