In November, Swiss Television SRF made an impressive contribution to the work of our partner organization AMUDEM in the Mitenand program.
It shows the story of Teresa Tambala, now 18 years old, who married her boyfriend four years her senior at 16. Without a school-leaving certificate and unemployed, the two were completely destitute. She was also beaten by her husband. With our support she not only managed to leave him and get a divorce, she also goes back to school. In addition, she is now vehemently involved in AMUDEM against early marriage - and has thus also changed her parents' attitude.
